M&M’s® Easter Sundae Mini Cream Scones – delicious, mini-sized scones made with colorful M&M’s® are the perfect little Easter and springtime treat.
I’ve mentioned, a number of times, my love of scones. I love to make scones and of course, I love to eat them. I’ve shared some of my favorite scone recipes including Strawberry Shortcake Scones, Roasted Grape and Thyme Scones and Easy Raisin Scones.
Today, just in time for Easter, I have a new favorite scone recipe to share, these delicious M&M’s® Easter Sundae Mini Cream Scones.
Last week, while I was shopping at my local Walmart, I came across the Build a Basket aisle, where I discovered packages of M&M’s® Easter Sundae, which I thought would be perfect for making Easter scones. M&M’s® Easter Sundae are available exclusively at Walmart and are only being sold for a limited time, so I was sure to stock up.
Also, available in Walmart stores, are all sorts of other candies, perfect for filling Easter baskets, including Starburst® Strawberry and Original Jellybeans, 12oz DOVE® Milk Chocolate Easter Bunny, 4.5oz DOVE® Solid Milk Chocolate Bunny, 23.5oz Easter Mixed Brand Chocolates (package includes SNICKERS®, M&M’s®, TWIX®, MILKY WAY®, 3 Musketeers®), Easter M&M’s® Milk Chocolate, Hubba Bubba® $1 Bubble Tape, Skittles® $1 egg and Skittles® $1 tube.
Along with the M&M’s® Easter Sundae, in the Build a Basket aisle at Walmart, I also picked up a package of the Starburst® Original Jellybeans, a 12oz DOVE® Milk Chocolate Easter Bunny, a 4.5oz DOVE® Solid Milk Chocolate Bunny, a package of the Easter Mixed Brand Chocolates and a Skittles® $1 tube, to have on hand for Easter entertaining and for filling Easter baskets.
These M&M’s® Easter Sundae Mini Cream Scones are so easy to prepare and since they are small in size, they only take 10 minutes to bake in the oven. In total, it only takes about 20 minutes to whip up a batch.
First, gather the ingredients, including a package of M&M’s® Easter Sundae, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, whipping cream and vanilla. Add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt to a large mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Add in the M&M’s® Easter Sundae and stir with a spoon to combine. Then, pour in the whipping cream and vanilla.
Stir the mixture with a spoon until a dough forms. Using your hands, break off clumps of dough, shape into small disks and place onto a prepared baking sheet. Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven.
These scones will bake in the oven, until cooked through and they start to turn a little bit golden brown on top. When the scones are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer them to racks to cool.
These little M&M’s® Easter Sundae Mini Cream Scones are so good. The whipping cream gives them a delicate texture, and the crunchy, creamy, sweetness from the M&M’s® Easter Sundae is the perfect complement. These delicious scones are wonderful with a cup of coffee in the morning, along with afternoon tea or as a sweet treat anytime.
These colorful scones are also a wonderful addition to an Easter brunch or to a desserts table for an Easter egg hunt, party or other get together.
These festive M&M’s® Easter Sundae Mini Cream Scones are also great for gift giving. I picked up some pretty cellophane bags at Walmart, which were the perfect size to hold 4-6 of these little scones.
I have a group of fellow mom friends in my neighborhood, we often get together for girls’ nights and we exchange gifts during the holidays. A pretty bag of these scones will be a great gift to share with my friends this Easter.
A bag of M&M’s® Easter Sundae Mini Cream Scones is also a wonderful addition to an Easter basket. My parents are coming up from Maryland to visit us in Massachusetts for the Easter holiday and I thought it would be fun to prepare a festive Easter basket for them. First, I will fill a basket with some paper grass, both of which I had picked at Walmart, and add a bag of scones.
I’ll fill another cellophane bag with Starburst® Original Jellybeans and a third bag with Easter Mixed Brand Chocolates and add those to the basket along with a 4.5oz DOVE® Solid Milk Chocolate Bunny and a Skittles® $1 tube. As a final touch, I’ll tuck in a sparkly Easter egg ornament.
I know my parents are going to love both the M&M’s® Easter Sundae Mini Cream Scones and the festive, goodie filled Easter basket.
These delicious M&M’s® Easter Sundae Mini Cream Scones are perfect for an Easter brunch, party or other springtime get together. These festive, little scones are also great for gift giving and are a wonderful addition to Easter baskets for friends and family.
