It is mid-November and the holidays are fast approaching. Which means, it is time to gear up for entertaining. So, today I have a quick and easy appetizer recipe to share, that is perfect for all of your holiday gatherings.
This recipe pairs a wonderful savory and sweet combination of balsamic roasted grapes and honey sweetened goat cheese on top of Wasa Multi Grain and Wasa Thins Sesame & Sea Salt crackers. These delicious crackers are so easy to make and are a great appetizer for a holiday party or get together.
Wasa Crackers
I love Wasa crackers, they are crisp and crunchy as well as low in calories, high in fiber, all natural and are Non-GMO Project Verified. My husband introduced me to Wasa crackers many years ago when we were first dating. Now, they are a family favorite. We like to keep a few packages on hand for snacking and for creating appetizers such as Roasted Grape and Goat Cheese Topped Wasa Crackers.
This past week, while shopping at my local ShopRite, I picked up packages of both Wasa Multi Grain and Wasa Thins Sesame & Sea Salt crackers. They are located in the Crackers aisle.
The Wasa Multi Grain crackers have a wonderful full-bodied flavor from a blend of four wholesome grains including rye, wheat, oats and barley. The Wasa Thins Sesame & Sea Salt crackers are oven baked and have 7 grams of whole grains and only 80 calories per serving. Both varieties offer a great canvas for creative appetizers such as my Roasted Grape and Goat Cheese Topped Wasa Crackers.
How To Make Roasted Grape and Goat Cheese Topped Wasa Crackers
These Roasted Grape and Goat Cheese Topped Wasa Crackers are so quick and easy to make. First, gather the ingredients including Wasa crackers, grapes, balsamic vinegar, goat cheese, honey, and fresh rosemary.
Then, line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Arrange the grapes in an even layer over the foil in the baking pan.
Pour the balsamic vinegar over the grapes and toss to coat. Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the grapes begin to burst.
Remove the baking pan from the oven and set it aside to cool. While the grapes are cooling, mix together the goat cheese and honey in a medium sized mixing bowl.
Spread the goat cheese and honey mixture evenly over the Wasa crackers. Then, arrange the roasted grapes evenly over top the crackers. Chop some of the fresh rosemary and sprinkle over top the crackers.
And that’s it, a delicious sweet and savory appetizer is ready to serve. I like to arrange the crackers on a wooden cutting board or serving plate and garnish with some sprigs of fresh rosemary.
These Roasted Grape and Goat Cheese Topped Wasa Crackers have such a wonderful combination of flavors and textures. The sweet, tart and juicy balsamic roasted grapes pair nicely with the creamy, tangy, honey sweetened goat cheese. Rosemary adds fragrance and freshness. All together, this delicious topping goes beautifully with both the satisfying crunch of the Wasa Multi Grain crispbread and the light and delicate crunch of the Wasa Thins.
These festive Roasted Grape and Goat Cheese Topped Wasa Crackers are so quick and easy to make. They are perfect for your next holiday party or get together. These delicious crackers would also be a wonderful addition to a girls’ night this holiday season.
